Angelina Villapiano, aka Miss Angelina, is a multi-hyphenate artist based out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her forte is music and comedy, and she often combines the two in her content, as seen in her video "In My Hoops".
Miss Angelina is a Latina Jersey Girl that returned to her motherland in the Caribbean to create content specifically geared towards the Latino audience. Under her entertainment company, Nueva Productions, she creates award-winning web series, films and music videos that give a fresh, new voice to the Latino Gang. Her work has been broadcast on the TV show American Latino, streamed with John Leguizamo's NGL Media, selected for the National Hispanic Media Coalition Latinx Stream Showcase, and featured in several film festivals worldwide.

Miss Angelina was nominated for Best Actress in a Web Series at the Official Latino Film Festival for her role as Carla in the comedy "Pandemic and Chill". Watch episodes here.

Miss Angelina has been acting since the age of 7. After receiving her degree from the prestigious Theatre program at Northwestern University in Chicago, she quickly realized that there was a severe lack of roles for Latino talent. Thus, she decided to go the route of the independent artist and create her own material. She has been acting in pieces that she has written ever since, including stage plays, web series, films and sketch comedy.

Miss Angelina has released two albums, "Miss Angelina" and "Endless Summer", both of which feature her signature sound of blending East Coast Hip Hop with Caribbean Latin rhythms.
Miss Angelina started singing and dancing as a kid, and went on to perform in musical theater throughout her school years. But her true love was Hip Hop. She started freestyle rapping, and after winning a couple rap battles, she found her own voice, and began writing original music as a rapper, officially naming herself "Miss Angelina". Her music is influenced by female rappers like Salt N Peppa and Missy Elliott, and tropical sounds from Puerto Rico like Reggaeton and Salsa.

COMEDIAN
After years of performing on stage as a character actress in plays, Miss Angelina got her start in stand-up at
New York Comedy Club. She went on to write a one-hour stand-up comedy special entitled "Sorta Rican" based on her identity as a half-Latina girl that grows up in suburban USA. In her signature style, Miss Angelina weaves original Latin music throughout the show.

Miss Angelina has toured "Sorta Rican" in comedy venues across the USA, including Improv Olympic in Los Angeles, Broadway Comedy Club in New York City, and Hard Rock Cafe in San Juan, PR.

With the success of the live show, Miss Angelina has adapted "Sorta Rican" for the screen. A scene from the screen adaptation was selected for the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) Latinx Stream Showcase. NHMC produced the scene in Los Angeles, and featured the scene if their industry showcase. "Sorta Rican" then went on to win Best Comedy Short in the Genre Celebration Film Festival.
Miss Angelina is now in pre-production for the "Sorta Rican" feature length film...stay tuned!

Miss Angelina directed the music video for "Round and Round" from recording artist Alex Cristina, that won Best Music Video at the International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival.
As a writer/director, she has directed her own work as well. She directed the web series that she wrote,
"Pandemic and Chill", that was nominated for Best New Media at the Official Latino Film Festival.

Miss Angelina is the Executive Producer of "Loko", a comedy short film that she wrote and directed that won Best Comedy at the Latina Independent Film Extravaganza, and Best Comedy at the LUSCA Film Festival in Puerto Rico.
She was the Executive Producer of "¡GLOBAILE!", a web series that was featured on the TV program "American Latino".
She was the Associate Producer for the short film "Boardwalk", featuring an all-female cast and crew.
She is the founder of Nueva Productions, an entertainment company under which she continues to produce films, series, music videos, and live events.

Miss Angelina is the content creator behind the viral TikTok hit "I'm Going to See Bad Bunny Tonight", a comedy song and video that became the anthem for Bad Bunny's "World's Hottest Tour", with 3 thousand people using the song including celebrities such as Ivy Queen and Bomba Estereo. The original video has received 1.6 million views, and the song overall has received 7.8 million views.
Miss Angelina continues to create viral TikTok videos that have landed her a fan base of 36K followers.
